はみだしもの - THE UNRELEASED B-SIDES

春風のようなサウンドの音楽が届きました。
青空でお洗濯日和だけど、風がある熊本。
午後になって目を覚ましてメールを確認したら、女性ヴォーカルに男３人のロックバンド、 METRIC からメールが届いていました。
アルバム｢ FANTASIES ｣の為の未発表曲が２曲 "Black Sheep" と "The Gates"、METRIC の Facebook のページでファン登録をするといつでも聴くことができるようになります。

You may have heard them at some point in some incarnation of their being, but this will be the first time we're formally putting them out there for the world to hear, and because we couldn't do any of this without our fans, we're sending these with love for you guys to hear first! Thank you so much for being so awesome!
Both of these songs were born during the very first recording sessions for Fantasies which took place at Bear Creek studio in Seattle in early 2008.
Then last year our genre smashing director friend Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) told us he was working on a new movie called "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World " starring Michael Cera and asked us if we'd be interested in working with him and legendary Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich on some music for the film. Of course, we said YES!
It just so happened that "Black Sheep" was perfect for the project and the song eventually became a pivotal track in the movie, which centers around a young group of musicians.
